How We Work:
We require a final count 7 days prior to the event. Should the count increase more than
10% of the final count you will be charged a per head price for every additional guest.
Chef for Hire, LLC also requires a 50% deposit due 30 days prior to the event if
applicable time allows. The balance of the bill is due on the date of the party. Should
there be a cancellation of the event date, Chef for Hire will retain a non-refundable
deposit of $500.00 and will return the remainder of the deposit to the client. If the client
chooses to pick a new date, Chef for Hire will put the remainder of the deposit towards
the new date. Should the event take more time than quoted, there will be an additional
hourly charge for every extra hour spent by the staff.
Chef for Hire, LLC does not include gratuity in the quote for the party. We believe that
great service should be the standard! We suggest if you are happy with the service, that
you include 20% of the total bill. A 7.35% state sales tax will be mounted to each bill.
We accept checks and cash. All parties over 6 guests will require additional staffing and
will be suggested in the quote. We provide one server per 20 guests depending on the
services needed by the client.
All events in which the food is to be dropped off, will be charged a $30 delivery fee, If
there is a need to pick up equipment after the event there is a $30 pick- up fee. All parties
over 60 miles from Middletown will be charged $50 mileage fee.

on quantity or wine choices you may want us to match with the food. We can also take
care of the rental of glassware, linens, china, and flatware for an additional charge. We
provide most cooking utensils and serving platters, should you like us to use your serving
